i completely forgot a. comes from a line of military. and i forgot why i don't open my mouth about politics. especially with someone whose whole[almost whole] family is in the military. not even saying "i don't want to talk about this" will cease the conversation. i.. i was just saying how i love canada. and somehow we ended with how the government owns you and how so many people are ungrateful of this country. it's good to stop talking.

but damn. i should've just talked about my new food obsession. because it's not as mind flustering. unless you have issues with curried potato and peas in phylo dough dipped in plum sauce.

a new activity needs to be invented at work. you can only shrink wrap so many things.

i'm going to lauren's house tomorrow so we can have catch up time and bake cookies!

i have 2 weeks to finish michelle's project until she stops commuting from lbc.

the parents are now in atlanta for an indefinite period of time. monday was the 1st time i saw lax in daylight. it was strange to not see the streets lit at nite.

next saturday i have my test for a job with the city. it's multiple choice. it's simple. or it should be.

next week the parents will be moving along to atlanta onto the next sibling. not sure how long they'll stick there. but vanessa and ed really needs help with the kids. especially with shobe's terrible 2 stage becoming terrible 3.

I miss Sidney. I was just deleting pictures and I found the last pictures I took of the dogs. Even when I get a new dog it won't be the same. Everytime a golden comes on tv or I see one, I almost start crying.

my nephew seems to like lil' jon + the eastside boyz & the ying yang twins. oh and fannypack.

in case you didn't know, i've been using flippingfruits to blog my trip. i have really cute pics of elijah and shobe.

i think we're leaving tomorrow or thursday for ohio. stopping in dollywood.
when i get back, i will have 2 weeks[i think] til my flight. i thought of going up to ptown.
or taking up my friend sky's offer to chill out with her and jes to experience mansfield, pa. she says it's pretty up there. and she owns a vegan/vegetarian restaurant. that sounds yummy.

Thanks for the replies about the last post. It really freaks me out that I won't ever see the dogs again.

She finally called me a couple of hours ago. The dogs are still there. She said the other family is waiting for their cat to get picked up. No apologies.. So I firmly said I would come by Friday since I will give her the car and spend time with them. pfffft. Then that is it. She gets everything she wanted. And.. that part was the best part of our conversation...

M: So you aren't giving me money for utilities?
R: Uh No. I gave you July's mortgage when I haven't slept there since the end of June. Which I didn't need to give since well.. I haven't lived there for JULY.
M: So you won't give me money for the utilities.. and you're getting a $2000 laptop
R: Well you get everyfuckingthing. How bout that?

What a poopoohead. I was happy when she said the dogs were there. So I will go see them when I drop off the car. And hopefully if it's ok with her.. before I leave Sunday.

Just a few more days.. Things would just be so much more different if she approached it in a nonasshole way.

Beyond Missidrama.. I'm doing some video shoot to help out Brett. It's just an info video on how to use a digital camera. $40 for 20min. So I recruited my friend Bryan since he's in desperate need of quick cash. It sounds fun. I think Brett did an infomercial for a cookbook from Kenny Rogers.. Something about pineapple in everything cookbook. And I made some pretty mean grilled honey glazed sweet potatoes with onion tonight. I really appreciate Megan and Brett for letting me stay this long. It has helped me quite a bit. And I think between the three of us, just getting to know each other more has been pretty sweet.

Surrendering My Babies

I haven't seen my babies this past week and I probably won't get to spend as much time as I used to. It was very hard to see them today. Tomorrow I have to call the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue and ask about the process of surrendering them. I don't really want to, but I don't know how long it will be for me til I can find and afford a place where I can have both. She told me she would take care of them til I found a place. I told her I would buy their food and whatever else.

I really do fuckin hate her. And I don't like the word hate. This is a lower blow... I told her I'd keep them.

So if anyone knows of anyone who would want 2 awesome dogs... lead 'em my way.

Vermonter Starts Petition To Name Mountain 'Brokeback'

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- We name our kids. We can name a pet. And, a few times each year, someone files a petition to name or rename a geographic place in Vermont.
WPTZ in Plattsburgh, Vt., reported Thursday that there's a small but growing effort under way to get a Vermont mountain named after the controversial movie "Brokeback Mountain."
In the movie, Brokeback Mountain is in Wyoming. But the film is actually shot in Canada. The so-called "gay cowboy" movie was a big hit in Vermont -- theaters sold out for weeks. And Vermont was the first to pass equal rights for gay couples. Still, fans seem mixed.
"Why do we have to name a mountain 'Brokeback Mountain' just to be accepting?" one movie fan said.
The organizer of the petition has not returned messages, but on the Web site www.brokebackmountainvermont.com, he writes, "Since Vermont is the coolest state, full of open-minded people, why shouldn't we have our own Brokeback Mountain (minus the cowboys)?"
A lot of hills and mountains don't have specific names, but getting the ball rolling on changing that can be as easy as getting 25 signatures on a petition.
"I would sign it rather than not sign it," said a Burlington resident.
A spokesman for Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas-R, said his office will take no position, saying "We're completely neutral about the idea."

The dogs are both asleep beside me while I download the Walk the Line soundtrack from Patrick. A few minutes ago Emma had her head resting against my shoulder. But I think she got irritated that I kept typing.

Sidney's ears are better. They smell pretty peachy from the cleaner. The tech told us to not just drop the stuff in her ears when we clean them. Sid seems to like it this way more. I'm sure I wouldn't want cold stuff just being dropped in my ears.

We've been quiet. Nothing much has been happening. But we did find another good Thai/Vietnamese/Cambodian restaurant that's nearby. I think their scorpion bowls drew us in. So next week.. I have no idea how this happened or if it will... Kell and Missi are going to make some healthy fruit punch mix similar to scorpion bowls. All night til they puke. I wish I could be around for incriminating pictures. But I'm also glad I won't be around to clean up.

July road trip to the south. Raleigh, NC will be the furthest I think we will reach.Not really that south. But it's south to us. We're trying to find a nice warm spot to grow old in. In case our plan to live rich in Guam doesn't work. or Bora Bora.. I think if I had balls they would freeze in the morning when I get up. OK I can only imagine how cold the midwest is, but seriously I would rather have weeks of straight on below freezing weather than this rollercoaster shit.

Janet, my boss' mom, found my L Word puppets out by the mailbox. I think she had a fit.

I had a page from a magazine of the L Word Season 2 cast. One day we were all bored so we made their faces into puppets. OK I made them into puppets. Megatron made a Neil Patrick Harris and Sandy made Mark Ruffalo. Oh and I also had Mariah Carey. So we stuck their faces on strips of paper. Some have clothing. Like Alice (Leisha Haley) was drawn a splendid bikini as she held a yogurt. Cuz.. she is the yogurt girl.

Jason(the boss) picked up Shane the other day and started talking with a valley girl accent. I had to correct him and said, "She mumbles and sounds deeper." He was a little surprised I corrected him. He wanted Shane to make out with Mariah but she wasn't havin' it.

Some days we have too much time on our hands.

This is.. Last week Joe and my sister Maren came over for the weekend. We played lots and lots of pool. And took them to Daisy and Nicole's for The L Word night. Emma seemed to gravitate to Maren a lot.

Oh right. I forgot. Blood burst in my eye! I woke up Sunday with a red spot on my eye. It took me a few minutes to realized my eye was really red.

This past weekend was fantastic. The weather was right in every way. I'm not complaining of the lack of snow. Nothing surprises me here as far as weather goes. Missi and I have learned to "believe it when we see it". Saturday we decided to bring the dogs out for an outing. We couldn't let them romp free at Scarborough so we went to URI - Bay Campus. Missi remembered the little inlet where nobody was probably around. No one was around.

Sidney jumped right in and surprised from the depth of the water.

Emma had a ball copying Sidney's "I have selective hearing" game.

In the end, the little poops got a bath. Sorry Sidney & Emma for the freezing bath.

Today Missi and I ventured to Newport. Walked the Cliff Walk. Drove around the fancy pants houses, got lost, and found our way out of Middletown. We'd like to live on the island with the little small house on it.

I had this open and I got sidetracked from commenting to someone's blog.

I'd really like a smoke but I can't.

Our friends are having a cookie bake party. I need to cook cookies from scratch. There are only a few things I can cook. Cookies from scratch isn't part of it. pasta in sauteed creamy pesto, orange peppers and other veggies- yes. ramen- oh yeah. gingerbread pancakes. any breakfast i can do. no cookies. no brownies. gingerbread i'll do. missi doesn't sound too thrilled either since she does not do the baking portion to cooking. i am thinking of trying to find something where i can put like a ginger candy in the center so it's softer and a little melted. lemon.. ginger.. sugar.

it is 1 am. i spent 3hrs at the mall with missi. and i didn't even hit the electronic stores. or my other favorite stores. i should sleep.

I have 2 weeks to think of what cookie to do!

Tomorrow night I'm going to try this recipe I saw in a magazine for "Ravioli Boquet". You arrange the ravioli so it looks like flowers and use onion stems for the stem. I'm thinking yellow peppers for pistil. cherry tomatoes. a little cheese to make it look like baby's breath. the idea is neat but i really wanted to stretch it a little more.

Last night some idiots knocked over our neighbor's trash. Since we live on a massively wide (so rare here) street, the trash was scattered everywhere. It was 1am so I doubt anyone but me and the barking dogs heard it. Little Emma, our little sound alarm, growled and barked. Cuteness. She thinks she can beat up everything/everyone she barks at.

Today feels good.
I have to shop with Missi for a suit. I really love that she has to dress up for work. I love chicks in business clothes.

Sidney and Emma got a XMas present a little early. We got them a little stuffed snake named Pete.

They love him. When we got home today they smelled the puppies and probably Lucas, Tim's new Weimaraner.
